Your data, clarification of 6 November

On the evening of the 5, without announcing it, the site started keeping a hashed fingerprint of connections (never the address) against multiple accounts, and a trace of deleted accounts until March. Not announcing it was a mistake. From today: the fingerprint is only used while the account exists; a deleted account is erased entirely, except for this fingerprint kept seven days, and traces already kept have been reduced accordingly. DeFi investments

Six investments, at the latest rate published by DefiLlama, refreshed every hour (otherwise the noon reading or a default rate), each taken with the tokens it needs (bought under "Crypto", swapped, or swapped on the fly from your euros). A position grows every day at that rate and follows its token's price; a two-token pool follows both prices. Morpho: enter the WBTC deposited and the EURCV borrowed (at most 70% of the deposit), which land in your wallet, swappable in Swap. Tokenized stocks and ETFs (xStocks)

Certificates issued by Backed, backed one for one by real shares or ETF units held by a custodian, living on Solana (and Ethereum, TON, Ink) and traded on Kraken, Bybit or Jupiter. Here they are bought and sold on the platform (0.1%), 24/7 at the token price: with your euros (no gas), or with your USDC or EURC on Base, Arbitrum or Ethereum (depositing on the platform costs the network's gas, in ETH); sold back for euros or stablecoins. No swap in Swap. Dividends are not paid out: the issuer reinvests them, net of 30% US withholding tax, and your number of tokens grows accordingly. Taxes, simply put: these are not crypto but securities (article 150-0 A of the French tax code (CGI), like a share held at a broker). Each sale is taxed at 31.4% of the capital gain, without the €305 crypto threshold, declared on form 2074 and not on form 2086; a capital loss can be offset against gains of the same kind for ten years. Paying for an xStock with your USDC or EURC means disposing of those stablecoins: a taxable sale (crypto regime), counted in the Taxes tab with its capital gain (often tiny for a stablecoin); selling it back, for euros or stablecoins, is a disposal of a security. The foreign account (Kraken) is declared on form 3916-bis. The Taxes tab counts them separately.

Good to know. Under French rules, moving into a stablecoin (USDC, EURC) is not taxable, at least until the end of the year: only selling for euros is. The rules may change with the next finance bill.

The simulation applies French tax rules, as if you were a French tax resident: only a sale for euros is taxed, at 31.4% of the year's net capital gain (12.8% income tax and 18.6% social contributions), and nothing under €305 of sales in the year. A crypto-to-crypto swap (BTC for USDC, a DeFi position returned in stablecoins, a leveraged position closed in USDC) is not taxed. Here, the gain on a sale is what is received minus what the position had cost (pro rata to the part sold), a simplification of the official formula (2086).

Each portfolio's value is recomputed every 10 seconds at current prices. Final ranking: the value on 31 2026 December, 00:00 Paris time. The AIs, the creator and the strategies play alongside everyone, unranked: they take nobody's place and cannot win anything.

Rules

the prizes, the fees, who can win

The game. Each participant receives a fictional €10,000 portfolio, to invest in the crypto, DeFi investments and managed accounts offered on this page, at the prices and rates read by the site. No real money is involved.
Operations. Buying and selling are free, at any time, at the current price, until 31 2026 December at 00:00 (Paris time). A DeFi or managed position grows every day at the day's rate; a crypto follows its price; a two-token pool follows both prices (impermanent loss included). A dollar position (USDC, dollar pools) follows the current USD/EUR rate, read with prices every 5 minutes.
Fees. Every operation costs realistic fees, taken from the amount and recorded in the log: 0.1% to buy or sell a crypto for euros (the exchange), and to turn euros into tokens in Swap (plus gas); 0.3% plus gas to swap one token for another; a deposit or withdrawal on a DeFi investment or a managed account only costs gas (€2 on Ethereum, 2 cents on Base); a two-token pool, 0.3% plus gas (balancing the two tokens). Since 5 November; deposit fees paid before were refunded. Gas is the current price (read from Rabby, at the chosen speed) and is paid in ETH held on the transaction's network (Ethereum, Base or Arbitrum), as in real life: no ETH on that network, no transaction. Hyperliquid leverage needs none: trading there is gas-free, fees are paid in USDC (1 USDC on withdrawal). Buying or selling for euros goes through the exchange, without gas: that is how you get each network's ETH (Swap: euros → ETH, to the network you want), or through a bridge from one network to another. An ETH airdrop for gas (€5 on Ethereum, €2 on Base, €2 on Arbitrum, at the current price) can be claimed once per portfolio, from a button in Overview or Swap; it counts in the portfolio's value, like a real airdrop.
Borrowing (Morpho). WBTC deposited as collateral, EURCV borrowed against it (at most 70% of the collateral) landing in the wallet, swappable in Swap; the debt grows at the day's borrow rate and is repaid on sale. If the debt exceeds 86% of the collateral, the position is liquidated: the collateral minus the debt and a 5% penalty comes back as cash.
The ranking. The portfolio's value in euros on 31 2026 December at 00:00, Paris time. In case of a tie, the participant who registered first wins.
The prizes. First place: a JVC Exofield XP-EXT1 wireless home-cinema headset, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound (second-hand, estimated value about €500, sold for €999 new at its release in 2020), in working order, handed over in person in Paris or shipped at the site's expense within mainland France. Second place: €200 paid in bitcoin (at the price on payment day) to the address they give. Third place: a new Trezor hardware wallet, shipped at the site's expense within mainland France. Prizes are delivered within thirty days of the end of the challenge; the winner is notified at their account's e-mail address or, for a nickname-only account, on this page when they log in. A prize is neither exchanged nor converted into cash.
The worst trader prize. From 15 2026 November at 00:00 (Paris time), the first participant whose portfolio drops below €100 wins a wooden BilanCrypto USB key, with its box, shipped at the site's expense within mainland France (photo for illustration only). They must have paid at most €5,000 in total fees at that moment, and their last two operations must not be leveraged (opening, closing or liquidation of a Hyperliquid position; refunded fees and airdrops do not count as operations). A participant below €100 who does not meet these conditions can still win by meeting them later, as long as the prize has not been awarded. The crossing is recorded by the leaderboard computation, redone at most every ten seconds; if several participants meet the conditions in the same computation, the lowest wins. This prize changes nothing for the other three.
Free support and tax report. From 15 2026 November: every participant on either podium on 31 2026 December at midnight (the top three of the leaderboard, and the three on the worst traders' podium) receives one year of BilanCrypto support, from 1 2027 January: their crypto history rebuilt (exchanges, wallets, DeFi), reconciled with their bank statements, and their French tax filing prepared; without a chartered accountant's sign-off, which remains on quotation. Every other participant ranked on that date receives the 2026 tax report PDF, generated automatically, without support. These prizes are personal, are neither exchanged nor converted into cash, and change nothing for the others.
Taking part. The game is open to everyone, in France and elsewhere, and everyone is ranked. Prizes are reserved for adults residing in France: a player who cannot receive their prize keeps their place in the leaderboard, and the prize goes to the next player who can. One (free) account per person, with an e-mail or a simple nickname; an account is needed to be ranked. The site's owner and the test AIs (Claude, Grok, Claude takes the best) are not competing. A portfolio that is clearly automated or duplicated is removed. A deleted nickname cannot be replaced by another from the same internet connection for seven days. The challenge is neither organised, sponsored nor endorsed by Reddit, which is not responsible for it; by taking part, everyone releases Reddit from any liability related to the game.
The game is free, with no purchase necessary. Prices and rates come from public sources; an interruption in readings can freeze a value for a few hours, with no recourse. Participation data is the account's, plus, against multiple accounts, a hashed fingerprint of the internet connection (never the address itself), while the account exists. A deleted account is erased entirely; only its connection fingerprint is kept seven days, for the delay above, then erased. The server keeps no log of visits (no address, no page viewed); the database backups, made every night, are erased after fourteen days. For immediate erasure, write to contact@bilandefi.fr.
Changes. Every change to the rules is dated in the history below. A change affecting the prizes or the data kept about participants is announced at the top of this page at least seven days before it applies, to give everyone time to delete their account if they disagree; only a change that keeps less data applies immediately.

8 November 2026 ChatGPT leaves the test AIs. Claude X joins them: an AI that every morning sets its portfolio to the proportions of the leaderboard's first, not competing like the other AIs. Nothing changes for participants or prizes.
8 November 2026, 16 h 15 The game opens to everyone, in France and elsewhere, and everyone is ranked. Prizes remain reserved for adults residing in France: a player who cannot receive their prize keeps their place in the leaderboard, and the prize goes to the next player who can. Nothing changes for players already signed up or for the prizes.
8 November 2026, 11 h 30 More prizes, announced seven days ahead (in force on 15 November): one year of BilanCrypto support for every participant on either podium on 31 December, the 2026 tax report PDF free for every other ranked participant, without support; no chartered accountant's sign-off. The other prizes do not change.
8 November 2026, 12 h 30 Claude X is now called "Claude takes the best": it still takes the leaderboard leader's positions every morning, and during the day it also closes what the leader closes. Not competing, nothing changes for participants.
7 November 2026, 10 h One more condition for the worst trader prize, still before its start on 15 November: their last two operations must not be leveraged.
7 November 2026, 9 h One more prize, announced seven days ahead: the worst trader prize, a wooden BilanCrypto USB key, for the first participant whose portfolio drops below €100 from 15 November, having paid at most €5,000 in fees.
6 November 2026, evening The server no longer keeps any log of visits. The backup retention (fourteen days) is stated. Every change is now dated here, and those affecting prizes or data are announced seven days ahead.
6 November 2026, afternoon A deleted account is erased entirely: only its connection fingerprint remains for seven days. Traces already taken have been reduced accordingly. Notice at the top of the challenge.
6 November 2026, morning An ETH airdrop for gas, once per portfolio. Dollar positions follow the current USD/EUR rate.
5 November 2026, evening Against multiple accounts: a hashed fingerprint of the internet connection, and no new nickname from the same connection within seven days of a deletion. The trace of a deleted account was then kept until 31 2027 March. This change was not announced: that was a mistake.
5 November 2026, morning A deposit or withdrawal on a DeFi investment or a managed account now only costs gas (deposit fees paid before were refunded). Gas is paid in ETH on the transaction's network; Hyperliquid leverage needs none.
4 November 2026 Open to adults residing in France; Reddit does not organise the challenge; the test AIs are not competing.
